Hope Solo, a legendary American soccer player, was arrested after being discovered passed out behind the wheel of a car in North Carolina with her 2-year-old twins inside, according to police.

The 40-year-old former goalkeeper was apprehended in a Walmart parking lot off Parkway Village Circle in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and taken to the Forsyth County jail for processing.

A passing motorist observed Solo passed out behind the wheel for much more than an hour with the vehicle’s engine idling and the two kids in the backseat, according to an arrest warrant. A responding officer detected the stench of alcohol, and according to the warrant, Solo turned down a field sobriety test, so her blood was drawn instead.

Solo was charged with DWI, resisting arrest, and misdemeanor child abuse, according to authorities.

Hope, who was undoubtedly the best keeper in the world during her time with the USWNT, has had legal problems before.

Solo has been arrested before for domestic violence. In 2014, she was accused of chastising a cop and making threats to “kick his ass.” She was also charged with getting into a physical altercation with her teen nephew.

Jerramy Stevens, an ex-NFL player, is Solo’s wife. Hope and JS have twins who just turned two years old. If Solo is found guilty, she may be sentenced to prison.
