New 911 audio reveals that Dwayne Haskins’ worried wife called cops the morning of the quarterback’s death, saying she was particularly worried for her husband after he was stuck on the highway searching for gas before he stopped answering her calls.

Kalabrya Haskins goes on to say she was calling from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, about 10 minutes after speaking with Dwayne in the early hours of April 9 on the phone.

Dwayne had called Kalabrya from the side of the road near I-95 in Broward County, FL, claiming his car had broken down and he was walking to find gas.

A witness can be heard telling a dispatch officer in a separate 911 call, “There was a man hit in front of me. I was travelling on the road and I saw a dump truck hit the man.”

Dwayne was killed after being hit by a dump truck while walking on the highway in Florida, as we previously reported. Police have not released any additional information about the incident, stating that an investigation is ongoing.

Dwayne was only 24 years old at the time.
