One employee was killed and two others were injured when a gunman working at a supermarket opened fire inside the manager’s office. Gabriel DeWitt Wilson, the alleged gunman, was apprehended by authorities on Tuesday afternoon, several hours after the shooting at the Stop & Shop store.

Wilson, 31, worked at a grocery store in West Hempstead, a hamlet on Long Island, New York, but it was unclear whether he was still employed at the time of the shooting.  According to Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder, the shooting happened about 11 a.m. in an office just above supermarket floor while the store was packed with customers.

According to Ryder, the victim was a 49-year-old employee. His name was not revealed right away. Two other people who were hurt were taken to the hospital alive and recovering.

Updated: Gabriel DeWitt Wilson has been taken into custody, according to NBC, no further details surrounding his apprehension have been released.
