This morning in Brown County Circuit Court, a Green Bay woman charged with murdering her friend and dismembering his body entered not guilty pleas on her behalf.

Taylor Schabusiness, 24, is accused of murdering Shad Thyrion, 24, of Green Bay, and is now being held in lieu of $2 million bail since her February incarceration.

During a brief arraignment, she appeared in court but didn’t talk. On the murder charge and two other charges stemming from the murder, Judge Thomas Walsh entered not-guilty pleas on her behalf.

She faces life in state prison if convicted of first-degree intentional homicide. She is also charged with felony mutilating a corpse, which carries a sentence of up to 12 years in prison and a $25,000 fine, and third-degree sexual assault, which carries a penalty of 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.

Schabusiness is accused of strangling Thyrion to death in the basement of Thyrion’s mother’s residence on Green Bay’s west side.
According to the charging documents, Schabusiness used a knife and cut off Thyrion’s head as well as other body parts after he went unconscious.

According to the complaint, Thyrion’s mother called 911 after discovering her son’s decapitated head in a bucket once she went to the home’s cellar because she observed a light was left on.
