A woman is accused of stabbing a 16-year-old sandwich shop worker.

Just before 6 p.m. Monday, police were called to the Jimmy John’s on N. Main Street in High Point, NC. When the officers arrived, witnesses told them that an irate customer had stabbed a 16-year-old employee.

Demetris Holeman, 45, of High Point, was identified as the suspect by the staff because she was known to them and had previously been denied service, according to police. Officers were told that Holeman came to the store to make a fuss about her order. She threw several objects at the 16-year-old before stabbing her.

The teen was taken to the hospital, and Holeman was arrested a few hours later at her residence. She is charged with assault with a deadly weapon causing serious injury and injury to property as a result of the Jimmy John’s damage.
