Woman accused of killing boyfriend by zipping him in suitcase (February 2020)

Court will hear from a woman accused of killing her boyfriend by zipping him up in a suitcase.

Sarah Boone allegedly put Jorge Torres in the bag during a game of hide-and-seek in their Winter Park apartment in February 2020, according to WFTV.

According to investigators, cellphone video captured Boone taunting Torres as he struggled to breathe.

“I can’t (expletive) breathe, seriously,” Torres is heard saying in the videos, according to deputies.

“That’s on you,” Boone replied, according to deputies. “That’s what it feels like when you cheat on me,” and “that’s what you do when you choke me,” and that he “should probably shut the (expletive) up.”

According to deputies, Boone informed them that the couple had been getting drunk and that she believed Torres would self-extricate.

The couple had a history of domestic violence cases, according to records. The start date for Boone’s trial is May 16.
