Horrifying: Seattle Woman Gets Attacked by Two Dogs [Video]

In less than a week, there have been two dog attacks in Seattle, one of which injured another dog and sent a woman to the hospital.

According to hospital officials, the woman is still receiving surgeries for her injuries days after the incident.

Officials with Seattle’s Animal Shelter say the animals responsible for the attack are now quarantined for 10 days, as is normal practice in such cases.

Owners in quarantine cases have the alternative of placing their dog in a shelter, taking it to the vet, or keeping it in their own custody.

According to shelter staff, if a dog bites anyone and causes deep cuts or injuries that require treatment, such as this incident, the situation is classified as severe.

In severe injury cases, the owner of the attacking dog will be subjected to an administrative process for determining whether the dog is harmful. The administrative process could result in the dog being barred from being in the city.

Originally, following Friday’s attack, the dogs were returned to their owner for quarantine. A day later, however, both the owner and an animal shelter employee decided that it would be best to put the dogs in the shelter.
