A Jackson Health System employee has been placed on administrative leave after distressing social media posts seem to to ridicule a baby in the neonatal intensive care unit.
The posts were made on accounts linked with Sierra Samuels, a JMH nurse.
According to CBS4, they decided not to share the photos in their totality out of regard for the baby and the baby’s parents. Rather, the photos have been sliced so that only the captions are visible:
The initial post read, “My night was going great then boom!”
Then she followed it up with, “Your intestines posed (sic) to be inside not outside baby” and is followed up with “#gastroschisis.”
