Houston Father Sentenced to 45 Years For The Beating Death of His 2-Year-Old Son
After pleading guilty to the beating death of his 2-year-old son, a Houston father will now serve 45 years in prison.
Authorities allege Antonio Hicks Sr. lost his anger while potty training the child and beat the child numerous times in July 2020.
Antonio Hicks Jr., the child, passed away in the hospital. Hicks was initially charged with child endangerment, but the charges were upgraded to murder, to which he entered a guilty plea.
Hicks will be awarded credit for the one year he has already spent in jail, according to KCTV5 .
