'Hustler' Founder Larry Flynt Passes Away At 78

Larry Flynt, the founder of “Hustler” and First Amendment champion who drew attention and controversy while overseeing an adult entertainment empire, died, Washington Post announced Wednesday.

Flynt was born in Kentucky, had been in a wheelchair since 1978, when the white nationalist serial killer Joseph Paul Franklin tried to murder him as he left the court in Georgia.

Franklin shot him and left him disabled, in revenge for Hustler publishing interracial sex photos.

Flynt has been married five times and had five children.
