Lee Daniels has publicly apologized to Mo’Nique after they had not spoken in years.

“I am so sorry for hurting you in any way that I did,” Daniels said to the comic up on the stage at the St. George Theatre in Staten Island on Friday evening at her “Mo’Nique and Friends: April Fools Day with The Queen of Comedy” event.

Daniels said, “Y’all, and she was my best friend — my best friend,” as the stand-up appeared to be become overwhelmed in the footage. “Y’all think that ‘Precious’ was just … That was God working, through both of us.”

And we’re gonna f–king do it again!” he said, referring to their future film, “Demon House,” an exorcism thriller directed by Lee for Netflix, in which Mo’Nique will replace Octavia Spencer, who had to leave out due to a schedule conflict, according to Dateline.

Mo’Nique — who won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Daniels’ “Precious” — previously accused Daniels, as well as Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey, of blacklisting her from Hollywood after she reportedly absolutely refused to support “Precious” during awards season without extra compensation.
