According to Houston police, a woman was arrested after $2 million in crystal & liquid meth was discovered inside a residence in Harris County on Friday.

Deputies from Harris County answered a call from a woman in the 11600 block of Scenic River Drive who said she was under the influence of meth and couldn’t care for her 2-year-old son.

When police arrived, the woman was cooking meth, and the home was discovered to be a fully operational crystal meth lab by HPD’s High Hazard drug lab unit, which had been on the scene for several hours.

Officers in hazmat suits and oxygen tanks entered the home safely, according to video captured by SkyEye from above.

According to the HCSO’s Special Investigations, the home contained approximately 112 kilograms of crystallized meth and 87.2 kilograms of liquid meth.

Neighbors were taken aback by the bust and the threat it posed to them. “It’s crazy,” said Artemio Hernandez. “It’s dangerous. I can’t believe it. I can’t believe it. I don’t know what happened with this family.” He added the woman and her family recently moved in.

Both the woman and child were taken to the hospital. The child has since been taken into Child Protective Services. The woman is facing federal charges.
