Shaquille O’Neal is speaking out about his divorce from Shaunie O’Neal, admitting not only does he bear full responsibility for the breakup, but also that he felt lonely when his then-estranged wife and children left their family mansion.
This week, the 50-year-old Hall of Famer joined Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder, and Fred Taylor on “The Pivot Podcast”… and opened up about his failed marriage.
Shaquille O’Neal and Shaunie O’Neal married in 2002, during Shaq’s dominant NBA tenure, and had four children together: Shareef, Amirah, Shaqir, and Me’arah.
Unfortunately, the two split up in 2007, only to reconcile almost immediately. Shaunie filed for divorce in 2009, citing “irreconcilable differences,” despite getting back together for a while. In 2011, the divorce was finalized.
