In Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals, a Dallas Mavericks fan was removed after an incident involving the family of Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul.
“The Dallas Mavericks are aware of an incident between a fan and the family of Chris Paul,” the team said in a statement on Sunday. “It was unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated.
“The Mavericks, along with American Airlines Center, swiftly removed the fan from today’s game.”
After the Mavs’ 111-101 triumph to level the series at 2-2, Paul took to social media to address the distressing Mother’s Day encounter.
“Wanna fine players for saying stuff to the fans but the fans can put they hands on our families … f— that!!”
– Chris Paul
According to ESPN, Paul’s mother, Robin, as well as his wife, Jada, and their two children, sat in seats close to the Suns’ bench at American Airlines Center. A source acquainted with the matter told ESPN that his mother was pushed and his wife was shoved, and Paul’s children were present to witness it.
According to a separate source, Paul’s wife was also trailed up the aisle when she left her seat.
