A woman from northern Illinois was found guilty in a “revenge porn” case involving sexually explicit images of another woman that she sent to family and friends after her wedding was scrapped.

Bethany Austin, 43, of Island Lake, was found guilty of felony nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images by a McHenry County judge. According to the Chicago Tribune, Austin and her fiancé called off their wedding in 2016 after she discovered revealing photos sent to him by another woman.

Austin had already been living with the man she was engaged to for more than seven years when she found the illicit photos.

Messages sent to the man’s phone also went to Austin’s iPad because the couple decided to share an Apple iCloud account.

According to the Daily Herald, she sent out a four-page letter to relatives and friends explaining what happened and including screenshots of the texts and pictures.

Austin now faces a sentence that could range from probation to three years in prison when she is sentenced on June 24.
