Even though everyone saw it coming, the Jack in the Box appeared to be an absolute mess on Wednesday’s episode of “The Masked Singer.”

Rudy Giuliani debuted as the character and sang “Bad to the Bone,” a song by George Thorogood and the Destroyers from 1982.

The list of celebrities who have appeared as guests on the Fox series has ranged from Grammy-winning singers to reality show stars.

“Mr. Giuliani, with all of the controversy surrounding you right now, I think it surprises us all that you’re here on ‘The Masked Singer,’” said host Nick Cannon.

Giuliani stated that he appeared on the show because he is a regular watcher and wanted to demonstrate to his granddaughter Grace that “you should try everything, even things that are completely unlike you and unlikely.”

“I’m done,” panelist Ken Jeong said as he walked off the stage during the performance. He had chuckled during the previous rendition of the song by the guest star when he didn’t actually know who it was.

Giuliani has long been the subject of an investigation into his lobbying activities in Ukraine. He recently opened electronic devices seized by the FBI last year from his home and office. Federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York are considering whether to charge him criminally.
