Inmate Caught on Video Punching LA County Jail Employee, Charged With Hate Crime

After a graphic video showed an inmate brutally beat a Los Angeles County jail employee, 29-year-old Arnulfo Meza has been charged with a hate crime.

The inmate’s hand was freed from his waist shackles when he asked if he could go to the restroom. Soon as the 54-year-old Asian American employee gave Meza the toilet paper, he punched her. When she hit the ground, Meza repeatedly hit her some more.

According to FOX11, authorities are looking to charge Meza with a hate crime and assault.
