Friday night, a woman bit her sister’s eye during a heated drunken argument.

According to her arrest records, 26-year-old Ashleigh Mason was intoxicated when she and her sister fought in the car.

Mason managed to grab her sister’s hair, drew her in, and bit her sister’s left eye, ripping out a portion of it. According to police, Mason fled a block away and hid in a backyard.

When she was discovered, Mason was “extremely intoxicated” and screaming loudly enough for residents to notice. 2 bottles of liquor and a can of White Claw were in her possession.

According to the paramedics, the eye of the sister would require plastic surgery. Blood prevented the police from determining whether the tear duct was severed.

Mason was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, and intoxication and booked into the Salt Lake County jail.
