The sworn testimony testimony developed thus far in the 22 Deshaun Watson civil cases is not subject to any type of protective order that restricts its release to the media.
As a result, some of Watson’s sworn statements has been made public. According to a source familiar with the situation, the leak was caused by lawyer Tony Buzbee, who represents the 22 plaintiffs.
Buzbee’s curated clips provided to Fox 8 in Cleveland were unquestionably aimed to make Watson look really bad. The clips, for example, include Watson admitting that he didn’t tell the Texans or his fitness trainer that he was trying to arrange personal massages through social networking sites.
