A woman who claimed to be a family member of the 14-year-old who died after falling from a ride at ICON Park has no ties to the family, according to Channel 9.

A woman identified as Shay Johnson has claimed to be Tyre Sampson’s cousin.

She has been seen holding press conferences, acquiring petition signatures, and leading a vigil just outside of the FreeFall ride.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Sampson’s mother told detectives she has no idea who Shay Johnson is. According to the family’s lawyers, none of the relatives know Johnson.

According to the sheriff’s office, no crimes have been committed as of yet.

The woman’s employer, Flash Dancer’s Bar in Orlando, said in a statement late Thursday that she had been fired.
