According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, a Florida man was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly stabbing his girlfriend after she confronted him about cheating.
According to the arrest affidavit, Jesus Figueroa Lopez, 42, was questioned about cheating after his companion witnessed him on the mobile with an unidentified female.
According to deputies, after being questioned, he was told by his companion to pack his possessions and leave. Lopez stated that he was leaving, but not before killing her.
According to deputies, he punched the victim in the chest and stomach before grabbing a kitchen knife and stabbing her in the chest.
According to the affidavit, Lopez started to panic after the incident and agreed with the victim to call 911 and claim she stabbed herself.
According to deputies, this is the third incident of domestic battery involving both parties.
Lopez was booked into the Orange County jail on no bond and charged with attempted second-degree murder, deputies said.
