
During a chaotic police chase, a woman in a stolen truck ended up at a McDonald’s drive-thru as she tried to order a meal.
On Tuesday, July 6, the incident took place near Worcester, Massachusetts, roughly 42 miles west of Boston. The Worcester Police Department got a 911 report regarding a stolen pick-up vehicle in the city’s eastern section, according to the department.
Police arrived on the location spoke with the guy who placed the call, who told them that a woman jumped into his truck and sped away, whom he said he didn’t know. However, he informed the authorities that his pickup vehicle was equipped with GPS and that he could see its whereabouts.
Johanna Gardell, 38, of Worcester, was the suspect in the stolen pick-up truck that was only a few streets away.
Gardell drove around the town, eventually hitting a police cruiser and then dragging one officer. They pursuit was called off for safety reasons.
Gardell then pulled up to a neighboring McDonald’s drive-thru in an effort to order food, but police were able to locate her and attempt to arrest her once more, according to police.
According to police, officers were able to get Gardell out of the truck after she resisted and battled with them throughout the arrest.
