This week, the Fast & Furious star testified in court to finalize parenting arrangements with his ex, with whom he has a 3-year-old daughter named Soraya. Tyrese was reprimanded by a judge in a courtroom video acquired by TMZ for trying to make a snide comment at Samantha’s lawyer after being asked about his funds as a part of the divorce proceedings.
“I don’t do the CFO thing. Here’s a question to you, smart person…” Tyrese snapped, triggering the judge to cut him off and chastise him for speaking up. The judge then chastised the 43-year-old, saying, “If you do it again, I’m going to hold you in contempt. You don’t ask questions. That’s not how this works!”
Embed from Getty ImagesAccording to courtroom footage posted on YouTube by Hip Hop Enquirer magazine, Tyrese was eventually ordered to pay Samantha around $10,000 per month in child support.
In another video obtained by TMZ, the judge is heard telling the “Sweet Lady” vocalist that the ruling “is not a punishment for you.” During the hearing, the judge apparently declared Tyrese and Samantha to be legally single.

Samantha filed for divorce from Tyrese nearly two years ago. According to court documents reviewed by E! News, the social worker filed for divorce in September 2020.
