A former Olathe teacher was found guilty of stalking an 11-year-old student on Wednesday.
Judge Thomas Sutherland of Johnson County ruled against James Loganbill, a former Meadow Lane Elementary School teacher accused of capturing over 200 images and videos of a child without permission. He was accused with stalking recklessly.
Loganbill told school officials and a detective in March 2020 that he was aroused by the little girl. Detectives discovered 210 images and 31 films of Addalyn on Loganbill’s phone and iPad when she was at school. She was bending down in several photographs, and in one clip, he had her pose by raising her leg to her head.
He might serve up to a year in prison and be obliged to register as a sexual predator for a period of up to 15 years. The date of his sentence has been set for Nov. 3.
