Kanye West has joined forces with a non-profit in Chicago to assist the elderly during the coronavirus pandemic, according to NBC Chicago.

Josephine “Mother” Wade, We Women Empowered’s founder, said West was making a donation to help support the goal of the South Side organization delivering three meals a day to residents.

“Today when I got that call, that Kanye West wanted to help the elderly in Chicago and he chose his hometown in the Southside, his old neighborhood, I was beyond words,” “Mother” Wade told PEOPLE magazine.

West also donated to the Los Angeles Dream Center, a non-profit that provides meals to some 7,000 people a day.
