The woman wanted for mowing down a disabled guy sitting on a Queens walkway with her vehicle has been apprehended and charged with murder.
The 26-year-old suspect, identified Monday as Kiani Phoenix, fatally struck Milton Storch, 59, with her Honda Accord in Rockaway on Saturday, igniting a two-day manhunt after fleeing the scene.
Footage of the violent act, which killed Storch and injured another man in the back, shows Phoenix driving the four-door sedan onto the sidewalk where Storch was sitting before instantly accelerating.
The video, captured by a nearby surveillance camera, shows the vehicle suddenly lurching forward, scattering bystanders; however, Storch, who required a walker to travel around, was unable to start moving away in time and was struck.
Storch, who died at a neighboring local hospital as a result of his injuries, was sitting outside the deli he frequented on Beach 20th St when he was hit – and was later mourned by residents of the mostly residential area.
According to police, Storch was hit, but Phoenix was focusing on another woman, with whom she had been arguing with prior to the horrific crash.
Phoenix, who was a regular at the deli, was arrested on Monday and now faces charges of murder, attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment, and criminal possession of a weapon.
