Kim Kardashian has taken an interest in a new court matter. She wants Gunna to be released from custody as he awaits trial.
Kim, who has assisted many people get out of prison over the years, tweeted her support for Gunna on Wednesday, using a hashtag and a reference to one of Gunna’s hit songs.
Kim posted to her 73.1 million followers, “#FreeGunna” with emojis that said “Free P,” a nod to his song “Pushin P.”
As previously reported, Gunna was just denied bond in his Young Stoner Life RICO indictment for the 2nd and will be detained in a Georgia jail until at least January, when his situation is expected to go to trial.
Gunna is accused of narcotics possession with intent to distribute and receiving stolen property; he has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and he has worked extremely hard for his release, including writing a public letter about the US Constitution on his birthday, which he spent behind bars.
Now that Kim looks to be on Gunna’s side, it will be intriguing to see if her notoriety will help him.
