Kerrion Franklin, Kirk Franklin’s son, was arrested on Sunday and is being kept in a Los Angeles County jail without bond.
Kerrion Rashad Franklin, 33, was arrested at 7:36 a.m. after being pulled over by Beverly Hills Police, according to court records obtained by Radar. At 10:28 a.m., he was arrested and booked into jail.
According to court records, he is being held without the option of bail. In the jail, he was assigned a permanent housing location. Franklin’s son has a court appearance scheduled for this week.
On social media, purported details of what happened have been circulating. Kerrion stated he was “wrongfully arrested and stopped because of his taillight,” according to Larry Reid Live.
Kerrion claims he won’t be able to leave jail until his next hearing on Tuesday. The police allegedly discovered a gun in the car, he told the outlet’s president.
Kerrion told police that the gun they found didn’t belong to him, according to the report. He was also discovered to be driving a car that did not belong to him. The vehicle is said to be the property of a woman who has gone missing and is suspected of being murdered.
