'Law & Order' Crew Member Shot Dead on NYC Set

A 31-year-old parking enforcement employee was gunned down on the Brooklyn set of “Law and Order: Organized Crime”on Tuesday by an assailant who suddenly opened his car door and then started firing, investigators said.

The victim was seated in a vehicle on North Henry Street in Greenpoint about 5:15 a.m. when officers say someone entered the door and shot a handgun, hitting the guy in the neck and face, authorities said. He was declared dead at a hospital within the hour.

The NYPD verified the individual, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was recruited as an outside agent to clear parking places for vehicles affiliated with the television show. No arrests have been made.

There were no additional injuries reported. It was unclear whether the murderer knew his victim. No info on a possible motive was disclosed.
