In a brazen caught-on-camera heist, a man in a straw hat managed to climb into a Wendy’s drive-thru in Florida and snatch the cash register drawer, according to police.
According to authorities, the armed robbery occurred on June 18 around 7:50 a.m. at the fast food restaurant’s outpost on Major Boulevard in Orlando.
The suspect, seen in a black Nissan Altima, arrives at the drive-thru menu to place the order prior to actually pulling up to the window, according to video released by the department.
At the window, the robber pointed a gun at the cashier, prompting her to try to close the window before fleeing, according to police.
The man then gets out of his vehicle and slithers midway through the restaurant window, snagging the till filled with cash before slipping back into his car and driving away.
Police are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
