On Saturday night, a shooter opened fire inside a North Carolina comedy club where comic Craig Robinson was scheduled to perform, prompting customers to flee, according to authorities.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, a guy entered The Comedy Zone in Charlotte just after 9 p.m. and brandished his weapon.

Robinson, well known for his role as Darryl in “The Office,” shared a video on Instagram while standing in the crowd at the Metro Credit Union Amphitheater during a Big Time Rush event.

“I’m performing at the Comedy Zone in Charlotte, North Carolina. There was an active shooter in the comedy club. So they moved us over to this — there’s a concert going on so I thought I’d just share with y’all,” said “The Office” star.

He was advised to evacuate to the venue, which was just adjacent to the club, he added.

Employees informed WSOC that the shooter entered the club while waving a handgun around and ordering everyone to leave.

The building was cleared at some time after the guy fired. According to officials, no one was wounded, and the perpetrator was apprehended.
