On Thursday, a man was arrested & charged after stabbing his wife for the 2nd time in a month.

According to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, Charles Hawes, 65, of Folger Court, was charged with attempted second-degree murder after reportedly stabbing his wife on Sunday, WSMV reported.

During the investigation, dispatchers informed Deputy Jonathan Backus that the husband had been under bond for a previous crime.

Authorities said Hawes was charged with aggravated domestic abuse in April after reportedly stabbing his wife in the abdomen and hitting her with a skillet.

His wife was treated at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital for her injuries.

Hawes was also accused with breaking an order of protection, according to authorities. He was arrested and put into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on a $210,000 bond.
