Authorities said a teenage gunman wearing military gear and broadcasting with a camera mounted started firing with a rifle at a Buffalo, New York, supermarket on Saturday, killing 10 people and wounding three others before surrendering.

Payton Gendron of Conklin, New York, was charged with first-degree murder on Saturday, according to Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn. Conklin is approximately three and a half hours from Buffalo.

He entered a not guilty plea.
