According to reports, a school lunch lady welcomed boys as young as 13 to her residence for sleepovers, gave them liquor, let them look at porn, and sexually abused them.
Dawn Marie Baye, 38, was arrested and charged with grooming and sexually assaulting multiple boys aged 13 to 16 while employed at Lacache Middle School in Chauvin, Louisiana.
A few of her victims are said to have gone to the school, and Baye’s criminal acts were discovered after a parent filed a formal complaint on April 21.
After conducting multiple interviews, the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office decided to charge Baye after discovering that the accusations about her were consistent.
According to reports, they uncovered Baye had been having ‘parties’ with her alleged victims at her residence.
According to deputies, the teen boys visited Bayes’ home several times and drank alcohol and watched pornographic materials.
They claim there were numerous sexual interactions. In Louisiana, the legal age of consent is 17 years old.
Baye was later charged with eight counts of indecency with a juvenile and ten counts of contributing to a juvenile’s delinquency.
Baye was arrested and booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex, where her bail was set at $50,000.
Baye has now bonded out of jail and has already been fired from her old school, according to The Houma Times.
