According to the Fairfax County Police Department, a married couple, both war veterans, were gunned down outside their front lawn in Springfield on Wednesday morning. Two individuals have been arrested, according to police.

The murders, according to police, are linked to a dispute or burglary at the property where they were called just two days before.

Fairfax County published a photo of one of the guys suspected of being involved on Thursday: Ronnie Keandre Marshall, 20. They also claimed that the Nissan Altima, dubbed a “vehicle of interest” by police, was discovered in Springfield.

Edward McDaniel Jr., 55, and his 63-year-old wife, Brenda McDaniel, were identified as the victims by police.

Edward McDaniel was a full-bird colonel in the United States Army at the time of his death. It is unknown the branch of the military Brenda McDaniel participated in at this time. Both victims were regarded as “physicians” and “honorable soldiers” stated Fairfax Police Major Ed O’Carroll.

The motive for the murder is unclear, however authorities believe the double murder was done by the same individual who was linked to the residential invasion on Monday.
