On Thursday, Joliet Police arrested 27-year-old Adriana Oray and charged her with two counts of endangering a child’s life or health. Oray has been released on bond since then.
The authorities learned that after a seven-year-old student had said during a remote learning session that no adults were home, a teacher had contacted the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).
Police arrived at the home to find the seven-year-old student and the three-year-old. No adults were at home. The children were taken into Joliet police protective custody.
The police called Oray, who came to the Joliet Police Department, where she told the police she was a self-employed massage therapist and went to the Indiana home of the client. Without incident, Oray was arrested.
