Danezja Kilpatrick, 23, is charged with murder, child endangerment, and criminal possession of a weapon after police found the bodies of the 46 day old twins.

The shocking discovery of the boy and girl infant bodies were located by the NYPD. Police got a call from a concerned family member and made a health check.

According to the police the baby boy was located with stab wounds to his chest. The mother told the police that the baby girl was in a sink wrapped up in a blanket.

“The children’s 23-year-old mother was taken into custody at the scene. A knife was recovered at the scene,” police said during a news conference.

The mother had no criminal history prior to this and the investigation is ongoing.
