Multiple People Injured After Person Drives Through Crowd and Into Water at Daytona Beach!

Sunday afternoon, a vehicle hit a toll booth and drove onto Daytona Beach, hurting a child before coming to a halt in the ocean.

A video of the incident shows the car stopped when the water touched the sand, surrounded by startled people on the beach.

According to a Volusia County Beach Patrol representative, the driver may have been having a medical episode prior to the incident, however the exact details are unknown at this time.

The vehicle entered the beach from International Speedway, rammed a toll booth, then sped onto the beach and into the ocean, according to the spokesperson.

According to the station, a child was hit by the vehicle and had to be taken to the hospital. The severity of the child’s injuries, as well as any other possible injuries, were unknown at the time.
