A 29-year-old pregnant woman was gunned down in Chicago on Wednesday night.

At around 7 p.m., police came to the 7400 block of South Vincennes after ShotSpotter alerted authorities, according to WGN.

As she sat in a parked car, Derricka Patrick, 29, was found motionless after being shot multiple times. She was pregnant at the time of her death. Police say that video footage shows two men walking up to her car before she was shot.

She was pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center, ABC7 reported.

“She didn’t deserve this,” Patrick’s mother said. “My baby didn’t bother nobody. Everybody loved her.”

Thursday’s autopsy was completed, and Hill stated that the cause and manner of Patrick’s death would be released by early afternoon, according to the Chicago Tribune.

She also has a 9-year-old daughter. At the moment, authorities are not releasing video footage of Patrick’s homicide.

Police are offering a $15,000 reward for info leading to an arrest and conviction in her death via the crime reward tip line at 833-408-0069. Additionally, anyone can submit an anonymous tip at cpdtip.com.
