
Officials have revealed bodycam footage from a gunfight between Florida officers and two kids equipped with an AK-47 and a shotgun.
The gunfight occurred Tuesday night in Enterprise, an isolated community in Volusia County, Florida. After trespassing into a residence, a 12-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl began firing on cops, according to authorities.
According to the sheriff’s office, the incident began once the two youngsters fled the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home earlier in the night. A neighbor alleged hearing glass break at a residence on Enterprise Osteen Road while deputies were out looking for the kids.
When deputies approached the house, they noticed two people inside. Authorities discovered from the homeowner that no one was authorized to be there in the residence and that there was “a pistol, a shotgun, and an AK-47 inside, along with a considerable amount of ammunition.”
Following their conversation with the homeowner, deputies encircled the house and began making broadcasts in an attempt to reach anyone was in there. According to the sheriff’s office, this is when the kids started shooting at cops.
