After a social media post showed him rudely hurling a cup of beer at restaurant patrons in Atlantic County this past weekend, a vice principal at a Monmouth County school is being investigated.

On Saturday, Michael Smurro threw a drink after his wife got into an argument with patrons at Fred & Ethel’s Lantern Light and Tavern in Smithville, Galloway Township, about an assumed transgender woman using the women’s bathroom.

Smurro works at Neptune Middle School in Neptune Township as a vice principal. Tami Crader, the superintendent of the district, said Monday morning that she’d only recently learned of the incident and that it’s being investigated “and will be taken seriously.”
