Nicole Lorraine Linton, a 37-year-old Houston nurse who police say ran a red light and rammed her speeding Mercedes through a major intersection in Windsor Hills, causing a fatal crash, was charged on Monday by Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón.

Six people were killed in the crash, along with a pregnant woman and her infant son, while Linton and eight other people survived, according to FOX11.

Linton faces six counts of murder and five counts of gross vehicular manslaughter. According to Gascón, his office is unable to file a manslaughter charge in a particular instance involving an unborn child.

She faces 90 years to life in prison if convicted.
