James Rhodes, 53, of Stow, is charged with aggravated menacing and ethnic intimidation. On April 17, while making a delivery at the Wyndham Ridge Apartments in Stow, police say he made the threatening statements to Kiuana Larkins, a food service delivery driver.

Lawyers for the apartment complex’s owners filed a motion in Stow Municipal Court asking for Rhodes to be evicted from his apartment. Next month, a hearing will be held on the matter.

The owners and employees have “received death threats and had to hire security guards,“ according to the court filing.

The owners can’t run the business or manage the residents, according to the grievance, “due to the frequency of the phone calls and death threats.”

Rhodes has been released on a $10,000 bond.
