Home security camera captures wanted man rob roommate at gunpoint

According to Houston police, a man charged with robbing and kidnapping his roommate has been arrested.

On Friday, 29-year-old Joshua DeLoach is expected to appear in court. On May 8, when he was asked to pay his rent, he allegedly pointed a gun at his roommate.

His roommate stated that he asked the suspect to leave after two months of unpaid rent. The situation then escalated.

The incident is captured on security camera footage from the victim’s residence in the 300 block of Eado Park Circle.

On the surveillance footage, DeLoach can be seen making threats to his roommate Justin Iwuji with a gun and ordering him to get on his knees.

Iwujii is heard pleading with the suspect from outside the frame.

The victim stated that DeLoach held him at gunpoint, started demanding that he transfer $6,000 to his checking account, and then forced him to open a safe containing jewelry before stealing things.

Then, according to Iwuji, he was forced into a shower, where the attacker allegedly pretended to shoot him. Instead, he apparently bound Iwuji, blindfolded him, and placed him in the trunk of his own car before fleeing.
