A teacher has confessed to having sex with a 13-year-old kid in her classroom.

Marka Bodine, 32, will be imprisoned for only 60 days for sexually abusing the boy, but her sentence has been postponed because she has recently given birth.

Prosecutors had desired a sentence of up to 40 years in prison.

Bodine managed to meet the child while teaching English at Tomball Intermediate School in Texas.

The complainant told investigators that Bodine began chatting with him on Fortnite before they began text messaging.

Soon after he turned 13, the texts became descriptive, and they had sex.

According to court documents, the abuse went on for 3 years, with Bodine engaging in sexual activity with the boy in her class and in her vehicle on numerous occasions.

Following her divorce, she also moved into his apartment building.

When Bodine informed her school principal that she was being hounded by a former student who was threatening to hurt or kill himself, the abuse became public.

The explicit messages were discovered after police searched Bodine and the boy’s phones.

She did admit to sending sexually suggestive pictures and videos to the boy, who is now 16, and eventually confessed having sex with him.

Bodine’s sentence has been postponed due to the birth of her child. The father is not her victim. She is also required to register as a sex offender.
