On Monday, Pretty Ricky’s Spectacular Blue Smith was arrested after allegedly assaulting a Walt Disney World worker who asked him to stop joking about (COVID-19) (COVID-19).
According to an arrest affidavit from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office obtained by PEOPLE, Smith, 35, was at the resort’s Animal Kingdom theme park on Monday night when he walked past a Disney World employee, pretended to sneeze, and said “coronavirus.”
The worker reportedly told Smith that his joke was not humorous, but the artist and CEO responded, “I thought it was.” The staff member then told Smith, according to the affidavit, “Then you’ll think it’s hilarious, if I asked you to step out of the line.”
Smith refused to get out of the line, and the two argued for a few moments before the worker held out his arm in an attempt to prevent Smith from proceeding in the line, according to the authorities. Smith then “turned and punched him on his right side jaw and right temple area,” according to the affidavit.
Smith was finally arrested on charges of misdemeanor battery charges. His bond was set at $500.
