The Orlando Police Department cleared a parking structure at the Universal Orlando CityWalk on Saturday because of a brawl involving “many teenagers,” according to police.
Residents and parkgoers were quickly assured by police that the ruckus did not entail any gun violence, since those close had been escorted off the grounds.
“Our officers responded to the parking garage at the 6000 block of Universal Blvd. regarding a fight between several juveniles. Out of an abundance of caution, the premises are being evacuated as our officers ensure everyone is safe. NO shots fired & NO injuries reported,” the police department tweeted.

Earlier in the day, there was a false alarm at the Florida Mall in Orlando when customers fled after hearing loud bangs that turned out to be fireworks rather than gunfire, according to local Fox35.
The CityWalk is a sprawling shopping and dining complex located near Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Police issued recommendations on Twitter to anyone who may have left personal items behind during the evacuation. Those who remained on the site were instructed to recover their belongings from the Guest Services area, whereas those who had already left were instructed to call the next day.
