A mother is seen holding her daughter on a bodycam at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport moments after a motorist struck the family.

The pedestrian, who was transporting two young children, attempted to cross the crosswalk from the main terminal to the parking garage earlier this month.

When a rideshare driver drove in the adjacent travel lanes and collided with the family, he told police he was distracted. That driver was arrested and charged.

A baby was thrown from a stroller and landed on the sidewalk.

The accident happened in the middle of the night and did not result in any serious injuries.

According to a spokesperson for the airport general manager, the number of curb officers is determined by the estimated travel flow. Given the time of the incident, it is believed that no additional staffing is required during those hours.
