RIP: Jak Knight, Stand-Up Comedian and ‘Bust Down’ Star, Dies at 28

Jak Knight, a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor who performed on “Bust Down,” has passed away. He was 28.

Knight’s spokesperson confirmed in a statement that he died Thursday night at his Los Angeles residence. According to the spokesperson, Knight’s family acknowledged his passing and would not divulge any other information at this time.

In 2022, Knight co-starred with Chris Redd, Sam Jay, and Langston Kerman in the Peacock original show “Bust Down.” He also co-executive produced HBO’s “Pause with Sam Jay” and voiced Devon on the Netflix animated comedy “Big Mouth” from 2017 to 2021.

Knight also did live stand-up all around the globe, with his half-hour Netflix special appearing in 2018 as part of “The Comedy Lineup” series.

Following Knight’s passing, supporters, comedians and performers flocked to Twitter to express their grief and share cherished memories.
