Police Arrest Black Teen Who was Walking on Street During Snowstorm

A black kid was arrested in Texas for strolling during a snowstorm in the middle of a street, but the misdemeanor charge has since been dropped, police said.

Video of last Tuesday’s interaction shows Rodney Reese, 18, walking from his job at Walmart in the center of a snow-covered street as the Plano police accosted him for a wellness check.

Reese said numerous times that he was going home and refused the officer’s request for a ride, as well as to identify himself. One police officer said they were “doing an investigation” about a person stumbling down while walking in the area without warm clothes, the video shows.
